WELCOME TO

HELLO!
I’m Cara (she/her), the music obsessive behind Rave the Date. I'm a DJ and glitterball in human form, and I want to share my love for eclectic tunes with dancefloors far and wide.

I've been a metalhead for as long as I can remember, and you'll still catch me moshing away behind the decks whenever I feature in an elder emo celebration. Over the years I’ve expanded my tastes much further, and now I'll play almost anything - ranging from heavy dance and electronic tunes, to jazz fusion, to hyperpop and beyond.

I adore discovering new sounds and taking recommendations from others - you can count on me to blend your favourite styles together for fun and unforgettable party experiences.

MY SKILLS
I learned to mix in 2022, encouraged by friends who loved the playlists I created for parties and group trips away. Honing the technical side to DJing means I can use my knowledge and passion for music to connect with others, and I’m having the most incredible time doing it.

My love for diverse musical styles makes me versatile and suited to a wide range of events, such as rave weddings, alt club nights, and launch parties for the coolest businesses.
Like all good social scientist/DJ hybrids I do my best to understand body language and read the crowd through the night, and use those abilities to make sure even your fussiest guests have a reason to dance!

THE PERSONAL TOUCH
It’s not just my taste that helps me stand out - I give time to every person who enquires with me, to get to know you, understand your preferences and give you the personalised party playlist of your dreams.
I want to bring a fresh alternative to dull, ‘cookie-cutter’ playlists, so if you’re looking for someone that knows diverse and interesting genres and can blend them together seamlessly then I'm your woman.

If you'd like to know more, then the best thing to do is get in touch! You can use the contact form below, DM me on social media or send an email.
For examples of my recent and upcoming appearances take a look at my socials, or read about some of my past events via my blog. These include sample track lists, tips and tricks I've learned along the way, and info on the venues I've worked with so far.
